What is Keto diet?

A keto diet is a high-fat, low-carbohydrate diet that induces a natural metabolic state called ketosis. When following a keto diet, thebody switches from using glucose (derived from carbohydrates) as its primary energy source to using ketones (derived from fat) as an alternative fuel source. The goal of the diet is to enter and maintain a state of ketosis by severely limiting carbohydrates andbody primarily burns fat for energy instead of carbohydrates, resulting in weight loss. In a keto diet, the focus is on consuming healthy fats, moderate protein intake, and very low carbohydrate intake. This causes the body to use fat as its primary fuel source instead of glucose, which is typically derived from carbohydrates. The goal of a keto diet is to limit carbohydrates to 20-50 grams per day and increase fat intake to around 70-75% of daily calorie intake. This can help improve blood sugar control, decrease inflammation, and potentially reduce the risk of certain chronic diseases. However, as with all diets, it is important to consult a healthcare provider before starting a keto diet to ensure safety and potential health benefits
